Department of Business and CREIS Seminar
On February 26th, 2025, the Department of Business and the Centre for Studies and Research in Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation (CREIS) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) organized an academic seminar featuring Professor Sascha Kraus, from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, who presented his research titled "The Role of Entrepreneurial Orientation in Family Firms."
During his presentation, Professor Kraus examined the theoretical framework of Entrepreneurial Orientation and its specific application in the context of family businesses. The research addressed how the classic dimensions of Entrepreneurial Orientation—innovation, proactiveness, and risk-taking—influence the performance and sustainability of family firms.
The seminar highlighted the importance of this theoretical approach for understanding how family businesses can adapt to market changes while maintaining their core values over the long term, especially in aspects such as succession planning and family involvement in strategic decision-making.
