Short bio
He holds a degree and MBA from ESADE Business School, and a PhD from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He is currently a professor of Strategic Management and Family Business at UAB. Previously, he spent 9 years as an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management at the University of St. Petersburg and, before that, as an associate professor at Pompeu Fabra University. He regularly participates in the Academy of Management Conference, where he received the 2018 award for the best paper in global strategy.
General research lines
His research focuses on studying the antecedents and outcomes of business internationalization, particularly organizational learning and innovation. More specifically, he has published studies on export promotion programs, internationalization of SMEs and family businesses, and the learning of exporting companies, a topic on which he has authored numerous articles. His research is published in outlets such as Journal of World Business, Global Strategy Journal, International Business Review, and International Journal of Management Reviews.
